Staff Safety Check

Staff Safety Checks-C.R.B. and I.S.A

All Crossroads Care staff have to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check. This check means the police have looked at their records to see if a potential Care Support Worker has committed any crimes. Relevant information is then fed back to us from the police.

In addition to the C.R.B. check, Crossroads Care also runs a check through the
Independent Safeguarding Authority, ISA (formerly known as Protection Of Vulnerable Adults) register. This shows us whether there have been any issues or concerns raised with a potential Care Support Worker when previously working with vulnerable adults.

These checks form part of a rigorous recruitment procedure which checks the full employment history and references of the potential staff member.

These enhanced checks are done for everyone working at Crossroads Care, including both our adult and children’s service.

Staff have also undergone training in how to spot signs of abuse for both adults and children.
